You are paying for this kind of Green Garbage!!!!
Don't miss the part about creating the need for more energy auditors...
That means more inspections to see if you are complying with the Big Green Rule Book.
Kentucky's Clean Energy Corps is part of Barack Obama's Clena Energy Corps, as laid out in his National Service Plan. This is actually out of the old fascist playbook. It is all based on teaching young people "service for the common good." HR 1388, the GIVE act, set up the Clean Energy Corps, as well as vastly expanding Americorps, a radically leftwing community organizing unit.
Below is a letter from Kentucky's Secretary of Finance and Administration, Jonathan Miller, seeking volunteers to become Green Ambassadors, sent to my husband at work.
Gosh...I'm signing up tomorrow......NOT!!!!!
Dear Clean Energy Corps Partners:
I'm very excited to report that in a few weeks, we will be launching a major initiative that is a critical component of Kentucky's Clean Energy Corps.
It's called the Green Ambassador Program, and it will involve volunteers across the state the gospel of energy efficiency in their churches, synagogues, schools, places of work, civic organizations, and any gathering of interested community members. Through presentations prepared by environmental education experts, our Green Ambassadors will teach their communities how to save on their utility bills, as they protect the environment and help promote demand for the creation of green collar jobs.
To be a Green Ambassador, you don't need to be an expert--all you need is a passion for serving your community and your planet. In January, we will train the volunteers and equip them with a comprehensive slide show that has been developed by an outstanding group of environmental educators, led by our own Antonia Lindauer, and the Education Department's outstanding Jane Eller. After the training, we will help schedule them to speak to clubs, school, churches, etc.
I can't emphasize how critical this element is for the success of Kentucky's Clean Energy Corps. In order for Kentucky to emerge as a green collar job leader, we have to ensure that the demand for energy efficiency improvements continues when the stimulus dollars dry up in a few years. Our Green Ambassadors will help drive demand up for green improvements in their communities, resulting in the need for private industry to create more and more jobs for energy auditors and green construction workers, thereby boosting our state's economy.
Becoming a Green Ambassador will not require a long-term commitment. Rather, we will train volunteers who are willing to give any number of presentations -- from 1 to 100.
SO HERE IS WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP:
Green Ambassador recruiting sessions will begin next week. I urge you to help spread the word of these sessions with your organizations and email lists and anyone that you can think of that would make a great Green Ambassador. While we expect to involve a whole lot of young people, there is no age limit, and we are hopeful to involve many retirees who are looking to give back to their communities, as well as everyone in the generations between.
We have already scheduled 2 introductory sessions where interested people can learn how to become a Green Ambassador:
Lexington: Thursday, November 19
5:30-6:30 PM
University of Kentucky Student Center
South Broadway
Lexington
Louisville: Thursday, December 3
5:30-7:00 PM
Davidson Hall, Room 207
University of Louisville
If you can't make either session, we will have more across the state in the coming weeks. You can sign up for more information and notice of future sessions at: http://www.finance.ky.gov/greenambassador.htm
With any questions, please also feel free to contact the head of our Green Ambassador program, Antonia Lindauer at antonia.lindauer@ky.gov or (502) 564-8642
I thank you in advance for encouraging your friends, associates, contacts, and loved ones to learn how they can protect the environment, save families money and help create green collar jobs as a Green Ambassador.
Best,
Jonathan Miller
