A Tale of 2 Servants:
Congress and the Military
Lively, humorous,
poignant,
this video tells
an important story:
the way in which
one group of "servants"
uses and abuses
the other.
2010: Promised in 2009 by Barney Frank,
Ben voted to repeal the "don't ask don't tell" policy; a vote to allow openly homosexual behavior in the military;
a tremendous stress on our military and their families.
2010: $1.2 Trillion non-budget budget;
hidden in Military Apropriations,
to avoid a rollcall vote prior to elections.
The world focuses on Obama and his tantrums.
Will he get what he wants?
Will his presidency be damaged?
They have forgotten...
Our kids are still deploying.
They are in harm's way
serving under a
Commander in Chief who
doesn't appear to give a
rat's rear end...
Want to Support Our Troops, But Don't Know How?
One Marine tells you...VOTE CONSERVATIVE!!!
Letter called in from Afghanistan,
to his conservative congressional candidate:
"Don't forget why we are sending you to DC.
I’m over here watching my friends, some who have been Marines
for years, get shot, blown to pieces literally,
to protect a way of life and standard of living
only to see it pulled from under us while we’re overseas.
I spent this last 4th of July cleaning up body parts and brain matter for what?
So Pelosi and company can take away my future, and my future kids’ future?
I’m not looking for sympathy. I’m a grunt.
We smash things and kill people.
Sometimes we lose some of our own in the process.
Have sympathy for the families of the fallen, like LCPL “Smith”,
a young man that was placed in my charge to train for this deployment
since the first day he was in the fleet.
When he got on that bird in March, he had no idea
he was never going to see US soil again.
He came to this stinking sewer of a country
and he spilled his blood and guts in the filthy sand
not more than 500 meters from where I stand now.
He died over here.
People can’t wrap their heads around how terrible that is
unless they’ve been over here.
To die in such a miserable place, where the proud colors
of our nation are nowhere to be seen*.
I charge you to think of LCPL “Smith”, his family,
and the others who have given life and limb over here
when you’re in Washington.
And think of LCPL “Smith” when you are feeling
that pressure from the left to just go along.
Remember why we sent you to Washington."
*Mother’s note: American Flag not allowed to be flown over bases.
It's considered offensive.
Some of the Marines in isolated outposts will fly it,
but they "catch hell" if they are caught.
